Folks, a grant announcement from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. NFWF is soliciting pre-proposals for the Marine Debris Research and Technology Grants Program, in partnership with NOAA. Grants of $20,000 – $200,000 for projects to “improve our understanding of the impacts of marine debris on our marine and coastal resources, and to reduce and prevent debris in our marine environment.” Projects in the Great Lakes are also eligible. Some target areas include reducing impact and creation of derelict gear, as well as efforts to increase understanding of debris impact on wildlife and habitat. Pre-proposals are due May 8th.
