Upcoming events in Lancaster County

There are several interesting events coming up in Lancaster County. These will be great opportunities to build your understanding of the issues and to network with others working in the field.

First, the Lancaster County Clean Water Consortium 2011 Educational Series Session #3 (pdf) will be held next Tuesday October 18. This half-day will focus on stormwater BMPs and infrastructure. Also save the date for future sessions in this excellent series. November 8 will focus on  sustainable stormwater financing, December 2 will look at the Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council.

On October 29, the 9th annual Lebanon/Lancaster County Watershed Forum (pdf) will bring together watershed associations. municipalities, conservation organizations, water authorities, and interested individuals from across the region. Many organizations will be presenting, and educational materials will be available throughout the forum.

The Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council will host its fourth “Turning a New Leaf” sustainable landscaping conference on December 2. This conference brings together landscaping professionals, environmental non-profits, and government agencies to exchange information and network. From the science of storm water management to native plant marketing techniques, this conference focuses on innovative practices to improve your business and the health of the environment and the Chesapeake Bay.
