SUMMARY:Friends of the Riverfront's Lock Through Paddles
DESCRIPTION:POWR is pleased to support and promote the Friends of the Riverfront’s Lock Through Paddles. \nFriends of the Riverfront and Three Rivers Outdoor Company are teaming up to provide 4 different lock through classes for paddlers in Allegheny County. This will allow paddlers a safe and welcoming opportunity to learn more about navigating longer distances by water through accessing lock-through points with confidence! Locks and dams can be intimidating\, and even experienced paddlers may not feel confident or knowledgeable about how to pass through these barriers. These classes will help to support paddlers in confidently\npassing through locks and dams through practice and with the support of a group\, in navigating river infrastructure. Our hope is that paddlers will feel more confident in planning or even leading longer sojourns with confidence from taking this class.
