SUMMARY:TapTalk: Lehigh River a Most Endangered River by American Rivers
DESCRIPTION:Join the Master Watershed Steward Program\, Watershed Coalition of Lehigh Valley\, and Penn Future for this educational and fun event at the Red Wolf Bar ad Grille on July 20. \nCurrently listed as the 7th Most Endangered River by American Rivers\, the Lehigh is seeing changes in land use at an unprecedented scale and speed. The region has become the logistics hub of the eastern seaboard\, with over four square miles of land developed for warehouses and distribution centers projects\, putting the river’s health at risk. \nDonna Kohut\, Campaign Manager for the Delaware River Basin at PennFuture\, will discuss the Most Endangered Rivers campaign\, the current status of the Lehigh River watershed\, and resources that can be used to help defend the watershed\, including the next steps for PennFuture’s work in the watershed. \nREGISTER
