SUMMARY:Perki-Bay Expedition: A Source to Sea Youth Paddling Sojourn
DESCRIPTION:Support the most unique youth adventure initiative in southeastern Pennsylvania! The Perki-Bay Expedition is a 5-day\, 50-mile\, self-supported\, paddling expedition where Conservancy youth paddle from the Perkiomen Creek in Upper Montgomery County to Fort Mifflin on the Delaware River. It’s a true source to sea resource awareness campaign to highlight the need to protect and restore our beautiful waterways!

SUMMARY:2024 Youth Heritage Sojourn
DESCRIPTION:The Endless Mountains Heritage Region (EMHR) and Endless Mountain Outfitters (EMO) have partnered once again to host EMHR’s annual Youth Heritage Sojourn! This three-day river adventure is for students grades 6-12 and will teach them about kayaking safety\, the history of the river and local area\, and environmental stewardship. They will also have the opportunity to make new friends and experience the intrinsic beauty of the North Branch. Students will meet at EMO by 8 a.m. on Thursday\, June 27th to check-in and sign waivers with their parents/guardians. The trip is safely led by Towanda Area School District teacher and EMO owner\, Keith Brown\, as well as his team of outstanding river guides. The three-day\, two-night trip starts at EMO and ends at Tunkhannock Riverfront Park. Along the way\, students will stop for educational talks\, lunch\, and breaks. Participants will be staying at Camp Lackawanna for both nights of the trip. The cost of this trip is $200\, which includes your kayak rental\, two breakfasts\, two lunches\, two dinners\, lodging at Camp Lackawanna\, educational programming\, insurance and shuttling. DESCRIPTION:Pride Paddle \nAre you a member of the LGBTQIA+ Community looking to meet others and spend time outside celebrating queer joy? Meet at Kayak Pittsburgh Sharpsburg where we’ll introduce ourselves and run through the basics of kayaking. Once everyone is equipped with a boat\, paddle\, and life jacket we’ll paddle out to explore the Allegheny River together on this relaxed paced paddle. \nPlease arrive 15 minutes before the start time to ensure that the trip gets underway on time. Dress for the weather (Venture Outdoors trips proceed rain or shine!) and bring water. By reserving a ticket\, you acknowledge that you are physically able to undertake the activity described above.
