DESCRIPTION:The Schuylkill River Sojourn is the annual 112-mile guided kayak/canoe trip that begins June 13th in the headwaters of the Schuylkill River in Schuylkill Haven\, PA and travels through 5 counties and ends along Philadelphia’s iconic Boathouse Row 7 days later. \nThe Sojourn includes meals\, camping locations along the water\, gear storage\, shuttles\, guides and medical support and more. \nThe Schuylkill River Sojourn is signature event of SRG and has served as a fundraiser for over 25 years. The Schuylkill River Sojourn has become the stuff of legend and a destination for paddlers across the country and for good reason. SUMMARY:Annual Youth Heritage Sojourn - Endless Mountains Heritage Region
DESCRIPTION:Calling all students in grades 6 through 12! The Endless Mountains Heritage Region is partnering again with Endless Mountains Outfitters for our annual Youth Heritage Sojourn! \nParticipants should meet at Endless Mountains Outfitters (7474 PA-187\, Sugar Run\, PA 18846) at 8 a.m. on Thursday\, June 18 for the fun-filled 32-mile adventure over a three-day\, two-night period from EMO to Tunkhannock. Students will stay at Camp Lackawanna in Tunkhannock both evenings. \nA detailed packing list will be provided through email to participants before the event. The $200 cost for this trip will provide students with a 3-day kayak rental\, two breakfasts\, two lunches\, two dinners\, lodging at Camp Lackawanna\, educational programming\, insurance and shuttling\, not to mention a memorable and educational summer event with the opportunity to meet new friends! \nFor more information on the event\, contact Keith Brown at 570-746-7102 or send an email at kbrown@tsd.k12.pa.us. DESCRIPTION:Friends of the Riverfront is celebrating 35 years of developing and maintaining both the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and the Three Rivers Water Trail! \nWith 35 miles of land trail developed\, 35 more miles in development\, and over 34 water trail launches\, Friends relies heavily on volunteers to help maintain the trails so they are safe\, clean\, and accessible for all. \nThe Three Rivers Water Trail series focuses on educating participants on the impacts that litter has on our waterways followed by hands on experience collecting and removing it. Participants will have the opportunity to meet other community members and work together to make a positive impact on our rivers!
