DESCRIPTION:Connecting Pittsburgh’s communities to paddling opportunities with the dramatic backdrop of Pittsburgh’s Downtown\, the ‘Kayaks and Kamraderie: Exploring Pittsburgh’s Rivers Sojourn’ will provide educational and outdoor recreation opportunities and provide many participants with their first experience on the water. \nAttendees will paddle the Allegheny River up to the Point of Pittsburgh\, where the Allegheny and Monongahela converge to form the Ohio\, before paddling back to enjoy lunch aboard Riverlife’s Shore Thing mobile programming barge.

DESCRIPTION:Friends of the Riverfront is celebrating 35 years of developing and maintaining both the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and the Three Rivers Water Trail! \nWith 35 miles of land trail developed\, 35 more miles in development\, and over 34 water trail launches\, Friends relies heavily on volunteers to help maintain the trails so they are safe\, clean\, and accessible for all. \nThe Three Rivers Water Trail series focuses on educating participants on the impacts that litter has on our waterways followed by hands on experience collecting and removing it. Participants will have the opportunity to meet other community members and work together to make a positive impact on our rivers!
