By displaying all the information visually\, it gives this data more perspective and transparency which results in the drive for change and innovation. \nHow’s My Waterway answers questions about the health of waters in supporting swimming\, the eating of fish\, drinking water protection and delivery\, the health of aquatic communities\, and the restoration and protection of waterways. SUMMARY:Endless Mountains Heritage Region Hosts Fall Heritage Paddle
DESCRIPTION:The EMHR and Endless Mountain Outfitters are teaming up for a benefit paddle that will take participants on a 10-mile river journey from the French Azilum Historic Site back to EMO in Sugar Run!\nRegister online and arrive at EMO (7474 PA-187\, Sugar Run\, PA) by 9 a.m. on Oct. 2 to sign-in. Paddlers will be shuttled to French Azilum for a safety brief and a short presentation\, then launch downriver and stop for lunch and a history and environmental lesson at an island near Homets Ferry (Masks will be required during the shuttle). We’ll paddle back to EMO for a BBQ dinner from Catering the Wright Way at 5 p.m. as well as a tasting with Deep Roots Hard Cider. This event will benefit the French Azilum Historic Site.\nRegistration is $60 for those bringing their own watercraft and $100 per person for those renting a kayak or tandem kayak/canoe.\nThis registration fee includes your donation to French Azilum\, insurance\, the dinner\, tasting and educational programming.\nDue to alcohol being served\, this paddle is for adults 21 and over.\nPaddlers should bring appropriate footwear and clothing\, lunch/snacks\, sunscreen\, and a supply of water.

SUMMARY:Heritage Benefit Paddle Series
DESCRIPTION:The Endless Mountains Heritage Region has partnered with our local outfitters to host a series of Heritage Benefit Paddles throughout Bradford\, Wyoming and Lackawanna counties. Each daylong paddle will incorporate guest speaker presentations about local river history\, watershed conservation efforts and outdoor recreation opportunities from organizations like the Countryside Conservancy\, Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority\, and museums from across the region. Every benefit paddles will end with a barbecue dinner and a tasting with a local brewery\, winery or cidery. The first Summer Heritage Paddle will take place July 10 and benefit the Wyoming County Historical Society. The second Summer Heritage Paddle will occur July 31 and benefit the Shickshinny Historical Society. The Fall Heritage Paddle will be held on Oct. 2 with proceeds being donated to the French Azilum Historic Site. These events are $60 for those who bring their own canoe or kayak and $100 for those who need to rent a watercraft. Taking inspiration from our host location\, the theme this year is Blue\, Green & Everything in Between: Connecting PA’s Land and Water Trails.\n\nOver the course of 3 days\, the summit will offer dozens of educational sessions\, 4-5 mobile seminars\, keynote presentations\, discussion panels\, and various social and networking opportunities to our attendees.\nRegistration is available for one\, two\, or all three days at various prices.\n\nThe Summit is financed in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Recreational Trails Program\, Federal Highway Administration\, administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources\, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation.
