SUMMARY:2022 Delaware River Sojourn: "The River Rocks"
DESCRIPTION:The Sojourn\, a guided paddling and camping trip on the Delaware River\, is full of fun and adventure\, offering a great time for all participants where wonderful memories are made! The purpose of the Sojourn is to heighten awareness of and appreciation for the Delaware River and its watershed\, which flows for 330 miles through New York\, New Jersey\, Pennsylvania\, and Delaware. The Sojourn combines canoeing/kayaking\, camping\, educational programs\, historical interpretation\, and more. It is for novice to experienced paddlers of all ages; participants can sign up for the whole event or for the section(s) or day(s) of their choice. The Sojourn is fully insured and sanctioned by the American Canoe Association. Each day we are accompanied by our safety team\, made up of members of the National Canoe Safety Patrol. Sojourners are like an extended family\, and many participants join in the fun year after year\, whether it’s for a day or two\, or the whole event. It is a great way to get outdoors\, meet new people or reconnect with old friends\, and enjoy nature – a perfect “staycation” where you feel you are away but still close to home.

SUMMARY:Perki-Bay Expedition: A Youth Sojourne
DESCRIPTION:Support the most unique youth adventure initiative in southeastern Pennsylvania! The Perki-Bay Expedition is a 5-day\, 50-mile\, self-supported\, paddling expedition where the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy’s youth conservation program members paddle from the Perkiomen Creek in Upper Montgomery County to Fort Mifflin on the Delaware River. \nOur intrepid 20-person team embarks on June 20th. The goal of the expedition is to raise awareness for the Perkiomen Creek Water Trail and for the Conservancy’s Youth Conservation Corps. SUMMARY:Youth Sojourn
DESCRIPTION:The Endless Mountains Heritage Region (EMHR) is teaming up with Endless Mountain Outfitters (EMO) to host its annual Youth Heritage River Sojourn from June 24th through the 26th. All middle- and high-school level students in the four-county region of Bradford\, Sullivan\, Susquehanna and Wyoming are invited to partake in this three-day journey down the mighty Susquehanna River’s North Branch. Throughout the weekend\, young paddlers will learn about kayaking safety\, environmental stewardship\, wildlife\, camping and the history of this remarkable natural resource that we are fortunate enough to have flowing through our region. Led by Towanda Area School District teacher and EMO owner\, Keith Brown\, participants will embark on a three-day\, two-night journey from Wyalusing to Tunkhannock. Students will paddle 30 miles over three-days! All lunches and dinners are provided\, but students should bring snacks and water bottles. Evenings at Camp Lackawanna will include campfires\, games\, hiking\, an outdoor evening movie on the big screen and more! Bring your own raft\, kayak\, canoe\, or tube or rent one of ours and enjoy a day on the creek\, starting and ending on the Canoe Access Ramps in Scottdale Borough Parks. This family-friendly event will include food for sale\, tube equipment rentals\, music\, activities\, and more! Bring the whole family and float down the belly of Jacobs Creek. A shuttle will be provided\, and registration gets you a “Ride All Day” pass for service between the two ramps. It’s a Lazy River kind of day\, won’t you join us?
