DESCRIPTION:Generating Awareness for Project Success (GAPS) is a collaboration between the Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds (FPW) and Three Rivers QUEST (3RQ) with support from the Colcom Foundation to assist grass-roots organizations within the Allegheny and Monongahela river basins with preparing and applying for successful remediation projects. Utilizing field teams and researchers\, 3RQ will provide watershed groups with the information and technical expertise needed to prepare successful proposals that secure funding for the engineering and construction of nonpoint source remediation projects. \n3RQ \nwill be hosting two information sessions to explain what services we are able to provide and allow groups to ask questions directly. DESCRIPTION:The 4th Annual Dam Bridge Challenge features 3 different races along the Susquehanna River on Lake Clarke starting and finishing near the Lock 2 Recreation Area. There are opportunities for racers of all ages; and categories for kayaks\, canoes\, and stand-up paddleboards (SUP). Following the races\, we’ll celebrate with live music\, cold beverages\, delicious food\, and a variety of family-friendly activities around Shank’s Mare Outfitters’ property. \nThe Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association is dedicated to improving the ecological health of the Lower Susquehanna River Watershed and the Chesapeake Bay. We believe that current and future citizens of the Lower Susquehanna River Watershed deserve high water quality\, wise and sustainable use of all aquatic resources\, and preservation of aesthetic value of our waterways. \nThis event serves as the LSRA’s largest annual fundraiser\, and an opportunity to bring together our communities in support of clean water\, on the 50th Anniversary year of the Clean Water Act.
