SUMMARY:EMHR Summer and Fall Heritage Benefit Paddles
DESCRIPTION:POWR is pleased to support and promote the Summer and Fall Heritage Benefit Paddles hosted by the Endless Mountains Heritage Region. \nThe Endless Mountains Heritage Region (EMHR) along with Susquehanna Kayak and Canoe Rentals and Endless Mountain Outfitters (EMO) are teaming up once again for a pair of Heritage Benefit Paddles this summer and fall. Whether you’re an experienced\npaddler or just a novice\, these paddles are for you! Register online at www.emheritage.org/events to join in on the fun!  \nPaddlers will be shuttled to the launches for a safety brief and a short presentation\, then launch downriver. Paddlers\nshould pack a lunch or snack for the trip. Dinner will be provided for each paddle as well as a tasting with a local winery or brewery. There will also be live music and educational programming from local artists and organizations. These events will benefit the Wyoming\nCounty Historical Society and the Bradford County Parks respectively.  \nRegistration is $55 for those bringing their own watercraft and $95 for those renting a single kayak or $115 if renting a tandem kayak/canoe. This registration fee includes your donation to the Wyoming County Historical Society or Bradford County Parks\, insurance\, the dinner\, tasting\, and educational programming.

DESCRIPTION:Join your community on Sunday\, October 8 at 2:00 PM at the Degenstein Campus Center for the Wild and Scenic Film Festival and Panel discussion. This free event is hosted by SU’s Freshwater Research Institute\, Lore Degenstein Gallery\, and the Chesapeake Conservancy. Come be inspired by amazing films that focus on our connection to streams and rivers from personal\, community\, and ecological perspectives; as well as impairment and efforts for recovery. \nFollowing the films there will be an interdisciplinary panel discussion to explore the films in a local context of watershed impairment\, restoration progress\, our connection to rivers\, and telling of these stories from an interdisciplinary perspective.
