DESCRIPTION:The Schuylkill River Sojourn is an annual 113-mile guided paddling trip on the Schuylkill river on the third week of June and is the perfect adventure to start your summer! Join the Sojourn for a day\, a few days or the whole week and see all the beauty the river has to offer while learning about the Schuylkill River Region. Each day\, paddlers will travel 14-18 miles with local and expert guides\, eat delicious food along the river\, and enjoy an exciting mix of educational programming. Price of registration includes 3 meals plus water and snack stops\, guides and on water EMT’s\, daily shuttle\, gear transport\, exclusive camping locations along the river and programming at lunch and dinner. SUMMARY:2025 French Creek Summer Sojourn
DESCRIPTION:French Creek Valley Conservancy’s annual Summer Sojourn will be held on Saturday\, June 14\, 2025. We have a great day of French Creek fun planned! Paddlers will start at Cambridge Landing Boat Launch in Cambridge Springs and enjoy a leisurely\, 10 mile\, self-guided float/paddle down a beautiful and remote section of French Creek where they will observe wildlife and the stunning beauty of French Creek. (Safety Boaters will be present). The first stop will be at the newly renovated Karl Gerdon Park for lunch and an educational program about freshwater mussels. Paddlers will return to the water and continue on to Saegertown to Bertram Park to end their day. Registration is $25 per adult and $18 per youth (ages 12-18). All participants must be preregistered. A maximum 60 paddlers will be permitted. Register at www.frenchcreekconservancy.org. French Creek Valley Conservancy\, an accredited land trust\, protects 3\,500 acres of land and waters in the French Creek watershed and is the designated manager of French Creek as an official PA Water Trail.

The Sojourn combines on-water experiences and educational learning opportunities and is geared for folks of all ages and experience levels. Daily paddles average ten miles\, and participants can sign up for the whole event or for the section(s) or day(s) of their choice. Equipment is provided\, or feel free to bring your own boat. Our river guides teach basic instruction and help keep paddlers safe while on the water. SUMMARY:Perki-Bay Expedition: A Youth Sojourn from Source to Sea
DESCRIPTION:The Perki-Bay Expedition is a one-of-a-kind youth paddling experience. After successfully completing a 6-month internship\, participants embark on a wilderness-style expedition through the heart of Philadelphia. The Perki-Bay Expedition is a 5-day\, 50-mile\, self-supported sojourn\, where participants paddle loaded canoes from the Perkiomen Creek\, down the Schuylkill River and onto the Delaware River – essentially tracing the waters of the Perkiomen to where they meet the sea. Along the way\, students note land-use changes and engage with a wide variety of community groups. This trip is a true catalyst and many students walk away feeling empowered to tackle the many environmental challenges that plague our waterways.
