Titled Healthy Waters, Healthy Communities: from Headwaters to Mainstem, the ORBA Summit will be held at the University of Pittsburgh and will showcase the release of the final Ohio River Basin Restoration Plan. The Summit will feature sessions and workshops designed to bring together community, agency, academic, government, and non-profit groups around the initiatives of the Ohio River Basin.
Major General Mark Quander, USACE Great Lakes and Ohio River Division Commander has agreed to provide the keynote address. More details will be available soon but hold the dates and plan to attend. Though final details are being set for this exciting event, please note the Call for Proposals is open. If you are a water advocate and would like to present at this great event, please consider proposing a session or workshop. Submissions are being accepted through August 9th. You can also become a Summit Sponsor. Every little bit helps defray the cost and supports advancing ORBA’s mission. There are lots of great benefits to sponsorship!
Thank you to planning committee members representing POWR, the Pittsburgh Water Collaboratory at the University of Pittsburgh, and The Mon Water Project for leading the robust ORBA Summit Planning Committee.
