Representing a network of local watershed groups advancing protection and enjoyment of Pennsylvania’s watersheds, POWR connects and builds capacity and supports shared values among our members.
To better meet the needs of the community watershed organizations, individuals, and other organizations dedicated to protecting, enhancing and showcasing the recreation value of our water resources and to enable a shared and public commitment to that end, POWR is launching a new Membership campaign with additional Membership categories and added benefits.

New Membership Categories, Benefits, and Annual Contributions
Individual Membership: $20
Open to any individual who wants to support POWR and our efforts to protect rivers and watershed through the provision of services, tools, resources, and outreach

Affiliate Organization Membership: $30
Open to any PA Community Watershed Organization who wishes to demonstrate a partner relationship with and commitment to POWR.

PA Community Watershed Organization Membership: $50
Open to any PA Community Watershed Organization who wishes to demonstrate a partner relationship with and commitment to POWR and wants access to valuable benefits.

Note: An organization that joins as an Affiliate and decides at a later date to participate in POWR’s insurance program must pay an additional $20 for that and all the other benefits.
Supporting Organization Membership: $100
Open to organizations and agencies such as community land trusts and conservancies, “friends of” groups, river/waterkeepers, partnerships, alliances, conservation districts, corporate businesses, etc. who wish to demonstrate a partner relationship with and commitment to POWR.

Watershed organizations work with many partners including County Conservation Districts to implement in-stream and riparian buffer restoration projects, such as these in Cumberland County. At right: A rock vane deflector at Big Spring at Neely Road near Newville protects the stream bank and provide fish habitat. At left, A Growing Greener Grant helped fund a riparian buffer along Burd Run near Shippensburg.
