Representing a network of local watershed groups advancing protection and enjoyment of Pennsylvania’s watersheds, POWR connects and builds capacity and supports shared values among our members.

To better meet the needs of the community watershed organizations, individuals, and other organizations dedicated to protecting, enhancing and showcasing the recreation value of our water resources and to enable a shared and public commitment to that end, POWR is launching a new Membership campaign with additional Membership categories and added benefits.

JOIN US today– not only to ensure that you and your organization continue to benefit from the educational and networking opportunities POWR provides, but to align your selves with the hundreds of organizations, large and small, who believe that we are all stewards of our waters and our watersheds and that our efforts make a difference in our communities and in the Commonwealth today and for tomorrow.

New Membership Categories, Benefits, and Annual Contributions

Individual Membership: $20

Open to any individual who wants to support POWR and our efforts to protect rivers and watershed through the provision of services, tools, resources, and outreach

Benefits:

  • Access to all of POWR’s communications and outreach;
  • Recognition (if desired) on POWR’s website and other selected publications.

Affiliate Organization Membership: $30

Open to any PA Community Watershed Organization who wishes to demonstrate a partner relationship with and commitment to POWR.

Benefits:

  • Access to all of POWR’s communications and outreach;
  • Recognition (if desired) on POWR’s website and other selected publications.

PA Community Watershed Organization Membership: $50

Open to any PA Community Watershed Organization who wishes to demonstrate a partner relationship with and commitment to POWR and wants access to valuable benefits.

Benefits:

  • Access to all of POWR’s communications and outreach;
  • Single registration discounts for selected events;
  • Recognition (if desired) on POWR’s website and other selected publications;
  • Ability to participate in the General Liability insurance program;
  • Invitation to post up to 5 CWO sponsored events per year on POWR’s new online Calendar of Events;
  • Eligibility to appear with a featured accomplishment on POWR’s Spotlight on Success webpage

Note: An organization that joins as an Affiliate and decides at a later date to participate in POWR’s insurance program must pay an additional $20 for that and all the other benefits.

Supporting Organization Membership: $100

Open to organizations and agencies such as community land trusts and conservancies, “friends of” groups, river/waterkeepers, partnerships, alliances, conservation districts, corporate businesses, etc. who wish to demonstrate a partner relationship with and commitment to POWR.

  • Recognition (if desired) on POWR’s website and other selected publications.

To join POWR or renew your membership, fill out this POWR Membership Form and return it with a check payable to POWR, Inc., to our offices in Luzerne.  (Credit cards are not accepted at this time). This is an annual Membership and Membership rates cannot be prorated, so join today and take full advantage of the of benefits and opportunities.

Watershed organizations work with many partners including County Conservation Districts to implement in-stream and riparian buffer restoration projects, such as these in Cumberland County. At right: A rock vane deflector at Big Spring at Neely Road near Newville protects the stream bank and provide fish habitat. At left, A Growing Greener Grant helped fund a riparian buffer along Burd Run near Shippensburg.
