The Endless Mountains Heritage Region (EMHR) will be hosting a Family Fun Sojourn on Saturday and Sunday, June 5 and 6, 2021. Participants will paddle 20 miles over the two-day period from Wysox Township to Endless Mountain Outfitters in Sugar Run. Highlights of the weekend expedition will be environmental talks from the PA Fish & Boat Commission and our river guides, a history presentation from the French Azilum Historic Site where paddlers will camp on Saturday evening, as well as evening music from The Sorters, a bonfire and a family film on the big screen, provided by the Keystone Theatre. All meals on the trip are included, but feel free to bring personal snacks! This is a great opportunity to get out on the river with your children and learn about paddling safety, environmental stewardship, local history and simply have fun! Event proceeds will benefit the Keystone Theatre. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed, which includes masks where necessary and social distancing. Transportation to the launch site will be provided. Prices to register vary based on whether you will be renting a canoe/kayak or bringing your own watercraft.
