Calling all women who love spending time outdoors! The EMHR is hosting a special Women on the Water Sojourn – a three-day paddling experience featuring engaging and educational workshops that inspire participants and highlight conservation efforts and outdoor resources.
Camping accommodations will be at Camp Lackawanna in Tunkhannock. There will be shared cabins with up to 10 bunks available for an extra fee or you can bring your own tent and camp in the field. Participants also have the option to meet at Camp Lackawanna the evening before the first day’s paddle to set up their camp and settle in before an early start the next morning.
Thursday’s welcome activity will feature a night hike with Kelley Stewart from Keystone College followed by morning yoga sessions. Workshops to look forward to: Wilderness survival, herbalism, essential oils, foraging, food preservation, how to plan a trip, fishing, a presentation by Daughters of the American Revolution Tunkhannock Chapter, and more! The $200 total cost for the event will include guided trip, insurance, meals for all three days, nine workshops, a commemorative event T-shirt, and other take home goodies.
Registration is limited and closes on Friday, July 24, so reserve your spot now!
