The Shamokin Creek Restoration Alliance (SCRA) would like to invite members, friends, and community members to an important presentation about the future of the Creek’s restoration efforts.
The Shamokin Creek Restoration Alliance (SCRA), in partnership with Tetra Tech, Inc., recently completed a two-year Watershed Assessment and Restoration Plan for the Upper Shamokin Creek. This study combined past research with new data, and included 12 months of water sampling from the nine most significant acid mine drainage (AMD) discharges in the watershed.
During this community presentation, representatives from Tetra Tech will share the results of the assessment and discuss future treatment options that could restore Shamokin Creek for generations to come.
