Endless Mountains Heritage Region Hosts Fall Heritage Paddle

October 2, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

$60 – $100

The EMHR and Endless Mountain Outfitters are teaming up for a benefit paddle that will take participants on a 10-mile river journey from the French Azilum Historic Site back to EMO in Sugar Run!
Register online and arrive at EMO (7474 PA-187, Sugar Run, PA) by 9 a.m. on Oct. 2 to sign-in. Paddlers will be shuttled to French Azilum for a safety brief and a short presentation, then launch downriver and stop for lunch and a history and environmental lesson at an island near Homets Ferry (Masks will be required during the shuttle). We’ll paddle back to EMO for a BBQ dinner from Catering the Wright Way at 5 p.m. as well as a tasting with Deep Roots Hard Cider. This event will benefit the French Azilum Historic Site.
Registration is $60 for those bringing their own watercraft and $100 per person for those renting a kayak or tandem kayak/canoe.
This registration fee includes your donation to French Azilum, insurance, the dinner, tasting and educational programming.
Due to alcohol being served, this paddle is for adults 21 and over.
Paddlers should bring appropriate footwear and clothing, lunch/snacks, sunscreen, and a supply of water.
