Three Live Virtual Hearings | April 5, 12, and 28 The Department of Environmental Protection will hold three virtual public hearings to accept comments on the Draft Environmental Justice Policy. Volunteers are needed to be scorekeepers, photographers, and a Current Issue station judge for the 2022 Warren County Envirothon at Chapman State Park. Volunteers are asked to arrive at least by 8:30am and the event wraps up at 2:15pm. Please pack a lunch and dress for the weather. Join the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, Juniata Watershed Alliance, and Juniata Conservation District to learn how to "help trees take root." This is a Volunteer training to maintain and foster riparian buffer growth. This event will be held rain or shine, so please dress for weather, tall grass, and potentially muddy terrain. The 26th annual Lehigh River Sojourn is Wildlands Conservancy's guided paddling and biking trip through the Lehigh River Watershed. The event begins in the Pocono Mountains and ends in Easton. Sojourners travel through our region's metro-wilderness- treasuring scenic views, visits from resident wildlife and a shared appreciation for preserving the Lehigh River.
