Penn State Water Cooler Talk: Managing Stormwater with Trees and Forests

March 31, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Trees and forests play a significant role in reducing stormwater and pollutant loads and can be one of the most cost-effective and greenest approaches to managing stormwater. Explore the multiple ways that trees and forests reduce stormwater and associated nutrient and pollutant loads while they provide so many additional community benefits such as reducing summer temperatures and saving energy; sequestering carbon and removing air pollutants; increasing property values; and improving human health and mental wellness. Learn how MS4 communities can calculate nutrient reduction credits for new tree plantings.

Join Penn State for this conversation on Wednesday Match 31, 2021 at 12 Noon.
