Join your community on Sunday, October 8 at 2:00 PM at the Degenstein Campus Center for the Wild and Scenic Film Festival and Panel discussion. This free event is hosted by SU’s Freshwater Research Institute, Lore Degenstein Gallery, and the Chesapeake Conservancy. Come be inspired by amazing films that focus on our connection to streams and rivers from personal, community, and ecological perspectives; as well as impairment and efforts for recovery.
Following the films there will be an interdisciplinary panel discussion to explore the films in a local context of watershed impairment, restoration progress, our connection to rivers, and telling of these stories from an interdisciplinary perspective. Panelists will include John Dawes (Executive Director, Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds), George Ferrandi (Artist, Creative Director of Jump!Star), Adrienne Hobbins (Program Manager, Chesapeake Conservancy), and John Zaktansky (Executive Director, Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association).
