• Kayaks and Kamraderie: Sojourn on Pittsburgh’s Rivers – Riverlife

    Connecting Pittsburgh’s communities to paddling opportunities with the dramatic backdrop of Pittsburgh’s Downtown, the ‘Kayaks and Kamraderie: Exploring Pittsburgh’s Rivers Sojourn’ will provide educational and outdoor recreation opportunities and provide many participants with their first experience on the water. Attendees will paddle the Allegheny River up to the Point of Pittsburgh, where the Allegheny and Monongahela converge to form the Ohio, before paddling back to enjoy lunch aboard Riverlife’s Shore Thing mobile programming barge.

  • Susquehanna River Sojourn: Overnight Paddle & Stewardship Event – The Abby Outdoor Initiative

    Join the Susquehanna River Sojourn for an overnight, immersive paddling adventure! Beginner paddlers, teens (14+) with guardians, and adults are welcome.     The 2026 (18th Annual) Allegheny River Clean-up will take place from Thursday, September 17th until Saturday, September 19th, 2026. This year they're planning to spend all 3 days on the Allegheny River (2017 & 2024 Pennsylvania River of the Year).
